Pasta and tuna salads

This is the first salad with pasta and also with tuna :) Bet it was good, really good :) We already made it for a few times. But next time I’ll put only half portion of celery because we discovered that my hubby doesn’t like it.

(3-4 servings)

300-400 ml pasta

1 (185 g) can of tuna

1/2 onion

1 paprika

1-1 1/2 celery stalks

chopped dills

Dressing:

150-200 ml mayonnaise

1 garlic clove

1 tsp. Dijon mustard

salt

pepper

Boil pasta, then douche with the cold water and drain. Chop onions, mix with the drained tuna, chopped paprika and celery stalks. Prepare the dressing: mix mayonnaise with crushed garlic and mustard, salt and pepper to taste. Mix pasta with tuna mixture. Pour over the dressing and mix well again. Sprinkle with dills.

Croissants with feta

Yesterday for dinner we had only soup, so I decided to bake these coissants for stronger food. Coissants and soup were perfect together.

(24 (or 12) croissants)

Dough:

450 g (225 g) flour

200 g (100 g) butter or margarine

35 g (17 g) fresh or 3 tsp (1 1/2 tsp) dry yeast

250 ml (125 ml) milk

1/2 tsp (1/4 tsp) sugar

1/2 tsp (1/4 tsp) salt

Filling:

250 g (125 g) feta

2 tbsp (1tbsp) fresh or 1tsp (1/2 tsp) dried basil

Coating:

1 egg

Put dry ingredients and butter to the blender bowl. Blend till you get crumbs. Pour lukewarm milk and knead soft dough. Devide dough to three (two) balls and roll 30 cm diameter circles. Cut them in 8 parts. Crush feta and mix with basil. Put teaspoon of filling on each dough part and roll into croissants. Put croissants on baking tray, let rise and coat with an egg. Bake 12-15 minutes at 225°C in the oven.

Notes: I usually make half portion of recipes, so I hate to half every thing every time and this time I wrote half portion quantities in brackets.

Rice krispies with dried fruits

At first I was very sceptical about this recipe, because I thought that butterscotch and dried fruits won’t fit together. I was wrong and I am very happy about that :) Dried fruits are perfect here, the dessert is not too sweet because of them.

50 g rice krispies

125 g butterscotch chips

50 g butter

35 g dried apricots

35 g raisins

35 g nuts (I used almonds and peanuts)

Cut dried apricots and nuts, mix with rice krispies and raisins. In another bowl melt butter and butterscotch, mix untill you get solid consistence. Pour butterscotch over rice krispies and mix well. Put everything in the baking dish lined with baking paper and press well. Let cool and enjoy.
