This cake really deserves your attention! It’s looks very beautifully, but it is prepared from really simple products that you maybe already have in your fridge. My kids saw how I’m working with these photos and asked to bake this cake again. I think it’s the best evaluation 🙂

Double layer cake with dough balls

Time needed:
Yields: 16 servings
Calories: 357 kcal / serving

Ingredients:

  • For the dough:
  • 200 g butter, room temperature
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g flour, sifted
  • 25 g cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • For the filling:
  • 500 g cream cheese
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 1 tbsp. starch
  • 1 tsp. vanilla sugar

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • First of all prepare the dough – beat butter with sugar till solid texture.
  • Add egg and mix well.
  • In another bowl mix flour, cocoa and baking powder. Mix flour in butter mixture.
  • Dough should be soft. Take 1/4 of the dough and put aside.
  • Line baking form (I used 20X30cm) with baking paper or coat with butter. Take the big dough ball and cover with it bottom and sides of the form.
  • In a bowl mix all filling ingredients. Pour it over the dough in a form.
  • From the small dough ball make small balls and distribute over the filling. Press them lightly.
  • Put prepared cake in the oven and bake about 50-60 minutes.
  • Cut only when it will cool completely.
  • Enjoy!

Šokoladinis kremas

Chocolate spread

This spread I found accidentally. But the simplicity was intriguing and I gave a try. Even my hubby, who doesn’t like cocoa, agreed that it’s very good. So almost all last week at school my girl ate sandwiches with this cream and peanut butter. And today I had to prepare this spread again, because it was very good with a freshly baked bread for me too 🙂

Ryžių apkepas su varške

Rice bake with curd

Lately my family doesn”t want any bakes. But this recipe was the only one that I liked and wanted to prepare for the Rice week. I said that I”m gonna make it you like it or not 🙂 And only when I saw how my family was eating this bake I remembered that rice and curd are the most favourite ingredients so this bake had to be a hit from the beginning. And one more point for this bake – it”s just slightly sweet. That”s why I heard compliment from my hubby. He said that this bake is probably the best that he ever ate 🙂 So you look at the last piece of bake 🙂 and it disappeared very quickly after I did some shots.

Braziliška kava su kakava

Brazilian coffee with cocoa

Weekend is a perfect time for relaxing with this sweet and delightful drink. I say it’s almost dessert. So if you like coffee and cocoa, give this drink a try.

Potato and curds Arrows

Potato and cottage cheese Arrows

After lunch I had boiled potato leftover, so I let my fantasy take me away 🙂 These arrows are really greate and cheese is here a must. But you should be careful with the salt, because cheese already has it inside.

Purūs varškės blyneliai

Fluffy cottage cheese pancakes

Very delicious pancakes. Fluffy, very light. Just melts in your mouth. When I remember their taste I’m suffused with warmth and good memories of the weekend.
